Eleven Characteristics Every Leader Shares

Leadership Secrets

1.  A leader is focused on his dreams. A leader looks to the lead consistently, working on a idea for a superior future. Always content, but never ready to settle for less than what they require without a competition.

2.  A leader goes forth before victory is assured. If other people are not uneasy, afraid, doubtful, negative, or negative about where you are headed, then it’s in all probability been done before and is not a very big deal. Leaders start projects that have not been attempted.

3.  A leader talks about his own mistakes prior to talking about anyone else’s. Leaders are not perfect, and are willing to acknowledge what they need to work on. They are their own worst enemy, and know that the log in their own eye is often much bigger than the splinter in anyone elses.

4.  A leader makes others change for the better. Positivity, motivation, inspirational, support, help & instruction, responsibility, example. We all require these things.

5.  A leader is quick to praise and encourage the least amount of improvement. Every leader knows that they got to their place by little, distinct strides in that direction, not colossal jumps forward. Leaders celebrate small achievements, uplifting their followers.

6.  A leader is genuinely interested in his/her fellow man. People are selfish innately, and leaders know that others want and need to be listened to and focused on.

7.  A leader takes others ahead with him/her. A smart leader surrounds themselves with others that are more gifted and more talented than they are.

8.  A leader never allows murmuring—from himself or others. Leaders never allow gossip or negative talk to break into their business.

9.  A leader does what is just rather than what is in style. The masses are usually looking for what is trendy, that is why they never become significant. My favorite quote is - “Two roads diverged into the wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.” (Frost) Doing what is correct will ensure that integrity and honesty is the foundation of a leaders value system.

10. A leader is a server. A leader is the first one to do what nobody else wants to. You don’t need to look any further than when the Son of God washed his disciples feet.

11. A leader goes the extra mile. A leader does greater than what is expected of them. Up early, up late, drive anywhere, fly anywhere, not only willing to do the labor necessary to reach accomplishment, but willing to work harder than anyone else to get there.
